SIGN IN - INSTRUCTIONS |

• To "Sign In" to Avantage you must have a valid User ID and Password |

FIRST TIME USERS | If you are signing into Avantage for the first time, your User ID is firstname_lastname. Eg. john_smith . Please enter your current ‘Portal' User ID as your temporary password. The system will display the message "password has expired" when you sign into the system and a "Change Password" button will appear. Click on the "Change Password" button to access the "Change Password Screen". Reset your password | |

User ID |
- User IDs are assigned by Aviva when you are first set up on the system. - User IDs cannot be changed |

Password |
- Passwords are set up by users and should be alphanumeric. - Must contain a minimum of seven characters. - At least one alpha and one numeric character. - No repeating characters are allowed. - Password can be changed and expires every 90 days. - Entering a wrong password repeatedly will cause it to be revoked. Once revoked, you will not be able to enter the system until the password is reset. |

IMPORTANT FACTS when using the system | ||
Changing Passwords |
- Your current password can expire, and if it has the system will display the message "password has expired" when you sign into the system. Click on the "Change Password" button to access the "Change Password Screen". Note: You must input your User ID and Current Password before clicking on the "Change Password" button |

Time Out | - If you keep a page (screen) open in the system without any activity the system will automatically log you out. This also includes situations where you are with one policy for a length of time. You will have to sign in again to access the system, if you have been automatically disconnected. |
